The Farm-to-Consumer Foundation is offering a unique educational tele-seminar series
- Cow-Share College and Goat-Share University - a series of three classes that cover setting up, maintaining and upgrading a cow- or goat-share operation.
Cow-or goat-share operations are increasing in popularity as a legal alternative to raw milk sales in most states. While the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund provides legal advice and contracts, the Foundation saw a need for expert operations advice and an opportunity to create a learning community of cow- and goat-share operators that could learn from and with each other. Since consumers also initiate cow-share operations (finding a farmer willing to buy, board and milk their cow) these classes will be useful for both farmers and consumers at all levels of experience.
The goal of these classes is to provide expert legal and operations guidance in a timely, convenient and inexpensive format:
Timely - The series of three classes is repeated monthly and starts in September.
Convenient - Classes are conducted via telephone conference call. A push button phone with long distance access is all that is needed to participate.
Inexpensive - Classes are reasonably priced with discounts for three or more classes.
All classes are held on Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.(EDT) and are limited to
25 participants to keep the interactions interesting, but give plenty of time for personal attention.

The WESTON A. PRICE FOUNDATION® is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charity founded in 1999 to disseminate the research of nutrition pioneer Dr. Weston Price. Dr. Price's research demonstrated that humans achieve perfect physical form and perfect health generation after generation only when they consume nutrient-dense whole foods and the vital fat-soluble activators found exclusively in animal fats.
The Foundation is dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods to the human diet through education, research and activism. It supports a number of movements that contribute to this objective including accurate nutrition instruction, organic and biodynamic farming, pasture-feeding of livestock, community-supported farms, honest and informative labeling, prepared parenting and nurturing therapies.
